Animals are wonderful things

Yesterday I was watching a TV program called animal orphans, which was all about orphaned animals  in sanctuary's being cared for and hopefully returned to the wild. These creatures were truly amazing bearing in mind that humans were the main cause of their situation, the forgiveness and trust they show is an amazing thing!

The baby elephant whose mother was killed by poachers and was herself hacked with an axe by the same 'people' trusting the keepers who were desperately trying to help her to the extent that she allowed them to give her acupuncture and fit her with a boot to help her poor damaged leg.  

The tiny baby elephant who was poorlu because his mother was killed and he never got the vital first milk allowing a human to wash and feed him and then gently touching his face with his tiny trunk!

I had a dodgy day yesterday feeling down and generally pretty 'mojoless ' and as I was watching this amazing program I started to think about how amazing the world is, then as if to prove it to me without doubt , I watched a rescued penguin who was blind having to be put to sleep, of course I cried, but as the tears started to fall both of my cats came to me , and one curled up on  my feet while the other climbed up and licked the tears from my cheeks.

Without any words being exchanged they felt my pain and did what was needed - truly amazing. Makes you realize just how amazing this universe is if you let it be - doesn't it!
